This is an iconic Atlanta place for brunch. There are usually long lines on the weekend, but if you can get there early or can go on a weekday morning, you may be able to avoid the wait. Everything is delicious. I always get the smoked salmon scramble, the potatoes, and the cheese grits, but have tried many other things friends have gotten, and everything is good. The kids meal is also a good deal, and the cranberry apple butter is amazing!
I try to visit this place every time I’m home for the shrimp & grits. And they never disappoint! Always really good food and service, parking is a pain but that’s Downtown ATL for ya! Depending on what time you go, there could be a long wait, kinda to be expected anywhere there’s good food. Kinda wish they threw the biscuits like the original namesake says but it’s still a good vibe nonetheless. It’s lost some of the hidden jewel feel from before the hipsters got a hold of it like the rest of Little Five Points. But a total must-visit destination in Atlanta!
I love this place! The eclectic atmosphere. Although I noticed the change in the grits (not as good as they use to be) and the signature biscuits appeared to have more oil in them than usual, the entre was still it's delicious best. Oh and the 50's & 60' pop/r&b mixed music was great!
Excellent food and service! Mary, our server today, was so sweet! She loaned my husband her umbrella so her could get the car in the pouring rain. Then she borrowed a co-worker’s umbrella and the manager’s jacket so she could walk me to the car and I would not get wet the day before my surgery! That is beyond great service! Mary is a sweetheart!
